Role & responsibilities

Primary objective: Design and deliver secure, scalable and maintainable DocTutorials product capabilities across backend, frontend, data and AI integrations.
Full Stack Product Engineering
Design and build backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
Build responsive, accessible web experiences using React and Next.js.
Design reliable database models, integrations, caching and asynchronous processing.
Own feature delivery from technical design through deployment and production validation.
AI-enabled Development
Integrate LLM, RAG, semantic-search and agentic capabilities through secure service boundaries.
Build retrieval, prompt, evaluation and source-traceability flows with AI engineers.
Review AI-generated code and ensure correctness, security, maintainability and test coverage.
Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve speed and quality.
Engineering Quality and Leadership
Apply architecture, coding, API, security and observability standards.
Conduct code and design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Diagnose production defects, performance bottlenecks and integration failures.
Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Design and Academic teams.
