We have an urgent requirement for a Senior Azure Data Engineer with 9+ years of experience for our client Atlas Copco.

About the Role

The Senior Azure Data Engineer is responsible for building and managing scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on Azure. This role involves end-to-end ownership of data pipelines, architectural decisions, and ensuring best practices in performance, cost optimization, and security.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end Azure data solutions
Build and optimize data pipelines and data platforms
Act as a technical authority for data engineering initiatives
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders
Ensure data quality, governance, and security compliance
Handle incident management, troubleshooting, and optimization
Define and enforce data engineering standards best practices
Mentor junior engineers and support team growth
Drive continuous improvement in platform performance and cost
Document architectures, processes, and solutions

Required Skills Experience

Must Have:
9+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Cloud Platforms




Solid expertise in Azure Data Platform, including:
Azure Data Factory
Databricks
Delta Lake
Snowflake
Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, PySpark
Solid experience with DevOps/DataOps practices
CI/CD pipelines
Infrastructure as Code
Azure DevOps / Jenkins / Git
Experience in data validation, testing, and performance optimization
Robust understanding of cloud architecture, data security governance
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to make technical decisions and communicate effectively

Good to Have:
Knowledge of Java / .NET
Exposure to Azure AI services (Azure ML, OpenAI, Cognitive Services)
Understanding of AI/ML data pipelines and integrations

Role Scope

Owns end-to-end data solution lifecycle
Works with onshore offshore teams
Drives technical decisions and innovation

Note: This is a short-term contract role (3 months) with possible extension based on project requirements
