Job DescriptionSummaryTheHeavy Duty Services Complex Gas OTR team owns the engineeringexecution of conversions, modifications, and uprates to the globalinstalled fleet of GE Gas Turbines and associated Plant equipment.The Complex Gas Upgrades Senior RequisitionEngineer will provide technical coordination for conversions,modifications, and up-rates on Gas Turbines and associated Plantequipment within the GE installed base. You will be responsible formanaging the engineering project immediately after order conversionthough installation. The requisition engineer owns scheduling,engineering definition, parts ordering, BOM / DWG approval, FieldModification Instruction (FMI) and resolution of technical issuesduring installation of assigned projects.JobDescriptionEssentialFunctions(Responsibilities):Providetechnical coordination for conversions, modifications, includingunit relocations and uprates on in-service Gas Turbine Power Trainsand their BOP Mechanical/Electricalsystems.Providewing to wing support for proposals and projects from inquiry toremittance(ITR).Developand monitor engineering project schedules to meet milestonesdefined by Project Management, GE Field Service andCustomer.Communicateproject scope to Engineering / Manufacturing / Sourcing / FieldService / Service Shop Personnel andCustomer.Providetechnical support to Engineering / Manufacturing / Sourcing / FieldService / Service Shop Personnel during project execution andinstallation.Delivertechnical presentations to customers and other GEcomponents.Maintainbroad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical qualityexcellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate useof resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs.Promoteprofessional growth of the global Requisition Engineering teamjuniors through coaching and mentoring.



Ensuretimely completion of all projectobjectives.Demonstrateaccountability for functional and businessobjectives.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’sdegree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, controls, orrelated) or equivalent practical experience.8+years of engineering or field experience in power generation, withdirect exposure to gas turbines and combined-cycle plant operations(peaking and CCGT configurations).Demonstratedproject engineering experience: schedule management, scope control,cost and risk management, and cross-functionalcoordination.Ability to interpret and produceengineering documentation (P&IDs;, one-line diagrams, mechanicaldrawings, specifications, BOMs).Willingness totravel domestically and internationally as needed to supportproject and siteactivities.EligibilityRequirements:Willingness totravel domestically and internationally, asneededFor USApplicants:Minimum 8 years ofengineering or field experience on gasturbinesForNon-US Applicants:Significantengineering or field experience on gasturbinesDesired:Systemsthinker - Able to understand, adapt and anticipate therelationships of major equipment inside a combined cycle powerplant. Excitation, Load Commutator Inverter,One-line diagrams, Generator Protection, Synchronization, MotorControlCenters.Knowledge ofPant Communication Networks GE controllers withDCSUnderstanding ofGas Turbines Power train operation in Peaking and Combined CycleconfigurationsKnowledgeof GE Gas Turbine product lines and systems.
