Sr. Engineer – Electrical (Site In-Charge)

Role Overview

The Sr. Engineer – Electrical (Site In-Charge) will be responsible for managing and supervising all electrical works at project sites across India. This role demands strong technical expertise in electrical systems, substations, and infrastructure projects, along with leadership skills to oversee site teams, contractors, and ensure timely, protected, and quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as site in-charge for electrical works in substation and infrastructure projects.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, control panels, cabling, earthing systems, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to project drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams to align electrical works with overall EPC project requirements.
- Manage contractors, site engineers, and technicians to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor daily progress, prepare site reports, and update the Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory norms, and environmental standards.
- Handle site-level procurement and verify quality of electrical materials delivered.




- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to site teams.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities for inspections, approvals, and handovers.
- Control costs and ensure efficient utilization of manpower and resources at site.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Diploma holders with extensive experience may also be considered).
- 6–10 years of experience in electrical EPC projects, preferably in substations and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and substation equipment.
- Proven ability to lead site teams and manage contractors.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites across India.
- Familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
