We are hiring an experienced US truck dispatcher with at least 2 years of experience booking loads using DAT.

Applicants must be able to find and book high-paying loads in drivers’ preferred lanes, negotiate strong rates with freight brokers, and keep drivers covered with suitable loads.

The ideal candidate should be able to manage the load-booking process independently, communicate clearly with drivers and brokers, understand what each driver is looking for, and plan ahead to keep trucks moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Search DAT for loads that offer strong rates and match each truck’s equipment type, location, and availability.
- Find and book high-paying loads in each driver’s preferred lanes and destinations.
- Understand each driver’s preferred routes, expected rates, schedule, home-time requirements, and operating preferences.
- Contact US freight brokers and negotiate competitive rates.
- Confirm all load details before booking.
- Evaluate loads based on total pay, rate per mile, total miles, empty miles, pickup and delivery times, and driver availability.
- Plan upcoming loads and return trips to reduce downtime and unnecessary empty miles.
- Keep drivers covered with suitable loads and plan ahead whenever possible.
- Review rate confirmations and provide drivers with accurate pickup, delivery, and shipment instructions.
- Monitor shipments and obtain regular driver updates.
- Communicate promptly with brokers regarding delays, appointment changes, or other shipment issues.
- Maintain accurate load entries, dispatch records, delivery paperwork, and invoicing information.





Required Experience and Skills

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in US truck dispatch and load booking.
- Strong hands-on experience using the DAT load board.
- Experience speaking directly with US freight brokers and negotiating load rates.
- Proven ability to find good-paying loads in drivers’ preferred lanes.
- Ability to understand driver preferences and match drivers with suitable shipments.
- Ability to evaluate whether a load makes financial and operational sense before booking it.
- Ability to manage the booking process independently.
- Ability to manage multiple drivers and keep trucks moving.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Must respond quickly and be able to work effectively under pressure.
- Previous night-shift work experience required.
- Must be able to commute to our Adampur office in 30 minutes or less.
