2. Roles and Responsibilities

- Prepare the operation theatre before every surgical procedure.
- Check and arrange surgical instruments, equipment and medical supplies.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and surgical trays.
- Operate and monitor OT equipment as per training and authorization.
- Check the functioning of anaesthesia machines, monitors, suction apparatus and cautery equipment.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of surgical instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control practices in the OT.
- Follow biomedical waste management protocols.
- Assist in shifting patients safely to and from the operation theatre.
- Maintain OT registers, equipment checklists and sterilization records.
- Check stock availability of OT consumables and inform the in-charge about shortages.
- Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are readily available.
- Follow hospital policies and NABH standards.
- Report equipment breakdowns, incidents and safety concerns immediately.

3. Educational Qualification





- Diploma / Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology.
- B.Sc. Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology preferred.
- Relevant experience in a multispeciality hospital preferred.

4. Skills Required

- Knowledge of surgical instruments and OT procedures.
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection control.
- Ability to work during emergency situations.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Patient safety awareness.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.

5. Documentation and Records

- OT preparation checklist.
- Surgical instrument checklist.
- Sterilization records.
- Equipment maintenance checklist.
- Biomedical waste records.
- OT stock and consumables register.
- Daily OT cleaning checklist.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
