Job Overview

SML Finance Ltd is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Gold Loan Officer to join our team in Thrissur. The ideal candidate should have experience in gold loan operations, customer service, gold appraisal, and loan processing. The candidate will be responsible for handling daily branch activities while ensuring accuracy, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle gold loan applications, processing, documentation, and disbursement.

* Assess and verify gold ornaments as per company procedures and applicable guidelines.

* Assist customers with gold loan products, eligibility, interest rates, and repayment terms.

* Ensure accurate customer documentation and KYC verification.

* Maintain proper records of gold loans, pledges, repayments, and releases.

* Support branch business development by acquiring recent customers and generating leads.

* Follow up with customers regarding repayments and overdue accounts.

* Ensure the safe handling, storage, and security of pledged gold.





* Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

* Provide excellent customer service and support daily branch operations.

Requirements

* Minimum 2–3 years of experience in gold loan operations or a related financial services role.

* Knowledge of gold appraisal, loan processing, and documentation is preferred.

* Good communication and customer-handling skills.

* Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with office applications.

* Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

* Ability to work in a target-driven environment.

* Honest, responsible, and customer-oriented approach.
