Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Commodity Trader with hands-on experience in MCX trading and physical commodity trading. The candidate should have strong market knowledge, expertise in commodity procurement and sales, price negotiations, trading strategies, inventory management and risk management.
The ideal candidate should be capable of managing both exchange-based commodity trading and physical commodity transactions while identifying profitable trading opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
1. MCX Trading
· Execute commodity trades on MCX across Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Copper, Aluminium and other commodities.
· Monitor live market movements, price fluctuations and trading opportunities.
· Conduct technical and fundamental analysis to develop trading strategies.
· Manage trading positions, margins, exposure and stop-loss limits.
· Monitor domestic and international commodity market trends.
· Ensure disciplined trade execution and effective risk management.
2. Physical Commodity Trading
· Manage physical buying and selling of commodities.
· Identify and develop relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, traders, dealers and buyers.
· Handle commodity procurement, sourcing, sales and distribution.
· Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial contracts.
· Monitor physical commodity prices and compare them with MCX market prices.
· Manage inventory, stock positions, logistics and delivery coordination.
· Ensure quality checks, quantity verification and timely delivery of commodities.
· Identify arbitrage opportunities between physical and exchange-traded commodity markets.
3. Business Development & Risk Management
· Develop new business opportunities in commodity markets.
· Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients and market participants.
· Analyse market risks and implement suitable hedging strategies.
· Track trading profitability, margins and overall business performance.
· Prepare daily trading reports, market updates and MIS.
· Ensure compliance with applicable exchange regulations and internal policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
· 3–8 years of experience in commodity trading.
· Strong hands-on experience in MCX trading and physical commodity trading.
· Knowledge of Gold, Silver, Base Metals, Energy or other commodity segments.
· Experience in commodity sourcing, procurement, sales and price negotiation.
· Understanding of hedging, arbitrage and risk management.
· Strong knowledge of commodity market fundamentals and technical analysis.
· Excellent negotiation, analytical and business development skills.
· Good communication and relationship management abilities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
· Candidates from commodity trading companies, bullion houses, metal trading firms or commodity brokerage firms.
· Experience in both MCX derivatives and physical commodity transactions.
· Established network of suppliers, buyers, dealers and corporate customers.
· Understanding of physical delivery mechanisms and commodity market pricing.
