Job Overview

A leading corporate-backed Media & Entertainment company is looking for an experienced Head of Compliance – Digital Content Business to lead and oversee regulatory, legal, and compliance functions across its digital content platforms.

The company operates a broadcast radio network, digital podcasting platforms, and a content studio, with potential expansion into news channels.

The role will focus on intellectual property rights, copyright protection, digital content regulations, data privacy, payment compliance, and app store policy adherence across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead intellectual property (IP) and copyright compliance across digital content platforms.
- Ensure compliance with IT Rules 2021 and applicable content regulation and self-regulatory frameworks.
- Develop and implement data privacy compliance frameworks under India's DPDP Act and GDPR.
- Oversee payments-related regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies.
- Manage compliance requirements across international markets, including the US and Southeast Asia.
- Establish internal compliance policies, processes, risk assessments, and governance frameworks.
- Work closely with legal, product, technology, content, and business teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience





- 10+ years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, or digital media governance.
- Prior experience managing compliance for a digital content platform, media company, or content-based application.
- Proven experience handling intellectual property rights and copyright matters.
- Strong understanding of IT Rules 2021 and content self-regulatory frameworks.
- Hands-on experience implementing DPDP Act and/or GDPR compliance.
- Experience managing Apple App Store and Google Play Store policy compliance.
- Experience handling compliance across international markets, preferably the US, Southeast Asia, or multiple geographies.

- Experience managing payments-related compliance.
- Experience in broadcast media, podcasting, OTT, digital publishing, or entertainment platforms.
