We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Garment Care Assistant to support the day-to-day garment maintenance and store operations of a premium multi-designer fashion retail store. The role involves handling delicate designer garments, performing ironing and steaming, ensuring proper garment presentation, and assisting the retail team with routine store support activities while maintaining the quality and finish of every garment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Garment Ironing & Steaming: Perform professional ironing and steaming of designer garments, ensuring proper finishing without causing damage to delicate fabrics, embellishments or garment structures.
- Garment Handling & Care: Handle premium and designer apparel carefully, following appropriate garment care instructions for different fabrics and materials.
- Garment Presentation: Ensure garments are wrinkle-free, properly folded, arranged and maintained in presentable condition for display and customer trials.
- Garment Maintenance:
Identify stains, loose threads, minor defects or damages and immediately bring them to the attention of the concerned team.
- Inventory & Coordination: Assist in moving, sorting, arranging and organising garments across the store, racks and storage areas.
- Store Support: Provide operational assistance to Fashion Consultants and other store staff during daily store activities.
- Workplace Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the ironing, steaming and garment storage areas.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of ironing and garment steaming.
- Ability to handle delicate and expensive designer clothing.
- Attention to detail and quality consciousness.
- Valuable time management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to support store operations.
- Responsible, disciplined and physically fit for routine store activities.
Educational Qualification
10th / 12th / Any basic educational qualification.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
