We are hiring a General Insurance Underwriter for an insurance broking firm in Hyderabad.

Responsibilities

- Assess risks and review proposals, policy wording and coverage terms for corporate and SME clients.
- Compare quotes from insurers and negotiate terms and premiums.
- Handle policy placement, issuance, endorsements and renewals.
- Coordinate with insurers, clients and the sales team, and support client servicing.
- Maintain policy records and MIS reports.

Requirements

- 6–10 years of experience in general insurance underwriting, placement or broking. Property, marine, liability, engineering, health or motor lines are all welcome.
- Strong knowledge of policy terms and the claims process.
- Valuable communication and negotiation skills, and working knowledge of MS Excel.




- IRDAI or III certification and an MBA are preferred.
- Candidates who can join at short notice are preferred.

Salary: ₹8–10 LPA (fixed), based on experience.

Pay: ₹66,000.00 - ₹83,000.00 per month
