1. Job Purpose

To design functional, aesthetically appealing, and customized modular kitchens and wardrobes that meet client requirements, space specifications, and project budgets. The role involves client coordination, technical drawings, material selection, site measurements, and coordination with sales, production, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Client Consultation & Requirement Analysis

- Understand clients’ requirements, lifestyle preferences, design expectations, and budgets.
- Conduct client meetings and provide design consultations at the showroom or project site.
- Recommend suitable layouts, finishes, materials, hardware, accessories, and storage solutions.
- Present design concepts and proposals to clients.

B. Kitchen & Wardrobe Designing

- Prepare modular kitchen and wardrobe layouts based on site dimensions and client requirements.
- Develop 2D layouts, 3D visualizations, elevations, sections, and detailed technical drawings.
- Design L-shaped, U-shaped, parallel, island, and other kitchen layouts as required.
- Plan wardrobe configurations, internal storage, drawers, shutters, lofts, and accessories.
- Ensure designs are practical, ergonomic, aesthetically consistent, and technically feasible.

C. Software & Technical Drawings

- Use AutoCAD and relevant 3D design/rendering software to prepare accurate drawings and presentations.
- Prepare detailed measurements, material specifications, hardware schedules, and design documentation.
- Revise drawings based on client feedback and technical requirements.
- Maintain updated drawings and design records for every project.

D. Site Visits & Measurements





- Visit project sites to take accurate measurements and assess site conditions.
- Verify dimensions, wall alignments, plumbing, electrical points, and appliance requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, contractors, and site teams wherever required.
- Ensure final drawings are aligned with actual site conditions before production.

E. Sales & Commercial Coordination

- Coordinate with the sales team to prepare quotations, BOQs, and material specifications.
- Support the sales team during client presentations and design discussions.
- Suggest alternatives that meet client budgets without compromising functionality and quality.
- Follow up on design approvals and support the conversion of enquiries into confirmed orders.

F. Production & Installation Coordination

- Coordinate with production, procurement, and installation teams for technical clarity.
- Ensure approved drawings and specifications are communicated before production.
- Resolve design-related queries during manufacturing and installation.
- Conduct site checks, where required, to ensure execution matches approved designs.

G. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain project-wise design files, client feedback, revisions, and approval records.
- Track design stages, pending approvals, site measurements, and project deadlines.
- Submit regular updates to the reporting manager.
- Maintain professional communication and ensure timely delivery of design assignments.

3. Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture Design, or a related field.




- Experience in modular kitchen and wardrobe design is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant 3D visualization software.
- Knowledge of modular furniture, board materials, laminates, acrylics, veneers, hardware, and accessories.
- Understanding of ergonomics, space planning, measurements, and installation requirements.
- Strong client communication, presentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy and quality of design drawings.
- Timely completion of design assignments and revisions.
- Client satisfaction and design approval turnaround time.
- Conversion of design proposals into confirmed orders, in coordination with sales.
- Accuracy of BOQs, measurements, and material specifications.
- Reduction in design errors, material wastage, and execution-related rework.
- Coordination and adherence to project timelines.

5. Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be creative, detail-oriented, technically sound, and client-focused, with the ability to translate client ideas into practical and premium kitchen and wardrobe designs. The candidate should be comfortable coordinating with clients, sales teams, site personnel, production teams, and installation professionals.
