Job Summary

The Nursing Superintendent will be responsible for the overall administration, supervision, coordination, and quality management of nursing services in the hospital, ensuring safe patient care, effective staff deployment, nursing discipline, infection control, and compliance with applicable hospital and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate nursing services across all hospital departments, wards, ICU, emergency, OT, and other clinical areas.
- Prepare and monitor nursing duty rosters, staff deployment, attendance, leave, and shift coverage.
- Ensure quality nursing care, patient safety, hygiene, infection prevention, and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Monitor nursing documentation, patient records, reports, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate nursing staff recruitment, induction, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary matters with HR.
- Conduct regular ward rounds and ensure adequate nursing manpower, medicines, equipment, linen, and supplies.
- Address patient complaints, nursing staff grievances,



and clinical incidents; initiate corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with the Medical Superintendent, doctors, HR, and other departments for smooth hospital operations.
- Support hospital inspections, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and applicable NMC, MUHS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Promote career development, staff welfare, teamwork, and continuous improvement in nursing services.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing, as applicable to the position.
- Registration: Valid registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council.
- Experience: Relevant experience in nursing administration and supervision, preferably in a medical college teaching hospital.
- Preferred Candidate: Maharashtra State candidate with experience managing nursing services in a medical college hospital.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Location: On-site, Raigad Hospital & Research Centre,Near Bhivpuri Road Railway Station, Diksal, Karjat, Maharashtra.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
