Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM Functional Consultant – Logistics & 3PL EDI Integration Expert

Exp - 6+ years

Role Summary

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Consultant – Logistics & 3PL EDI Integration is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting logistics processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365, with a primary focus on third-party logistics (3PL) integrations through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

Key Responsibilities

Analyse existing supply chain processes and design scalable D365 solutions to support business requirements.

Define and document integration requirements between D365 and 3PL providers.

Design and maintain EDI message mappings, interface specifications, and integration documentation.

Support the implementation of inbound and outbound logistics integrations, including:

a. Shipment requests

b. Warehouse orders

c. Inventory updates

d. Goods receipts

e. Shipping confirmations

f. Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN)

g. Delivery status updates

h. Freight and transportation information

Coordinate integration testing activities with logistics partners and internal project teams.

Support end-to-end process validation across D365, warehouses, transportation providers, and customer fulfilment processes.





Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues and drive resolution with technical teams and external partners.

Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.

Ensure data integrity across inventory, warehouse, order fulfilment, and shipping processes.

Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and operational efficiency improvements.

Provide subject matter expertise and training to business users and support teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Expertise

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.

Deep understanding of:

a. Warehouse Management

b. Inventory Management

c. Transportation Management

d. Order Fulfilment

e. Distribution and Logistics Operations

Experience supporting complex logistics and fulfilment processes in multi-site or global environments.

Understanding of warehouse and transportation operational best practices.

Integration & EDI Expertise

Experience designing and implementing EDI-based integrations with 3PL providers.

Solid understanding of logistics-related EDI transaction sets.

Knowledge of message mapping, data transformation, exception handling, and integration testing.

Experience working with middleware platforms, APIs, Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, or similar integration technologies.

Pay: ₹730,000.00 - ₹1,510,000.00 per year
