Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Civil Lab Technician to support quality assurance and material testing for railway and road construction projects. The role involves conducting laboratory and field tests on construction materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining accurate records to support engineering and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Material Testing & Quality Control
Perform laboratory and field tests on soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
Ensure materials meet required standards and specifications for railway and road projects.
Prepare and maintain test reports, logs, and documentation.
Equipment Handling
Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment (compression testing machines, sieves, ovens, etc.).
Calibrate instruments regularly to ensure accuracy.
Site Support
Conduct on-site sampling and testing during construction activities.
Assist engineers in monitoring quality at different stages of project execution.
Compliance & Safety
Follow standard testing procedures as per IS codes, ASTM, or project-specific guidelines.
Ensure laboratory safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
Reporting & Coordination
Provide timely test results to project managers and quality engineers.
Highlight deviations and recommend corrective measures.
