Contract / Freelance WordPress Web Developer

We are looking for an experienced Contract / Freelance WordPress Web Developer to work with us on an initial website migration and redevelopment project, with the potential for *ongoing freelance/contract work based on performance and project requirements.

This is *not a permanent full-time position. The initial engagement will focus on migrating and redesigning an existing website to **WordPress CMS. Upon successful completion, the selected developer may be offered additional projects involving website development, maintenance, updates, redesigns, troubleshooting, and support across approximately **10 company/project websites*.

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of overall web development experience* and robust hands-on knowledge of *WordPress, Elementor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP*. The developer should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple websites, and delivering projects within agreed timelines.

## Initial Project

The primary assignment will be:

- Migrate the existing website from its current CMS/technology to *WordPress*.

- Redesign and rebuild the website using WordPress and Elementor.

- Recreate required pages, content, layouts, forms, and functionality.

- Ensure the new website is responsive, mobile-friendly, fast, and SEO-friendly.

- Test the website across major browsers and devices.

- Resolve migration-related issues and complete the website deployment.

## Potential Ongoing Work

Based on the quality of work and performance, additional freelance/contract assignments may include:

- WordPress website development and customization.

- Maintenance and updates for approximately *10 company/project websites*.

- Website redesigns and new page development.





- Content, image, banner, and landing-page updates.

- Bug fixing and technical troubleshooting.

- WordPress, theme, and plugin updates.

- Website backups and security maintenance.

- Performance and speed optimization.

- Basic SEO implementation.

- Third-party plugin and API integrations.

- Basic animations and interactive website features.

## Requirements

- *5+ years of overall web development experience.*

- Strong hands-on experience with *WordPress*.

- Proficiency in *HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP*.

- Experience with *Elementor or other WordPress page builders*.

- Experience with WordPress website migration and redevelopment.

- Good understanding of responsive and mobile-friendly web design.

- Ability to independently manage multiple websites.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.

- Good attention to detail and communication skills.

## Preferred Skills

- Figma-to-WordPress development

- Website speed optimization

- Core Web Vitals
