Job Summary

SAP Basis Engineer (L3) with 9+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, SAP landscape management, system architecture, performance optimization, upgrades, migrations, incident management, and platform operations. Responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, security, and performance of SAP environments while leading complex troubleshooting, major incident resolution, upgrades, and operational governance. SAP BASIS is identified as a dedicated Platform & Operations service area

Key Responsibilities

Lead administration and support of enterprise SAP landscapes including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Fiori, and Solution Manager. • Manage SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations, refreshes, and lifecycle maintenance activities. • Perform advanced troubleshooting of SAP application, transport, interface, system, and performance issues. • Lead major incident resolution and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical SAP outages. • Manage SAP kernel upgrades, SPS updates, database connectivity, and system performance optimization. • Oversee transport management, client administration, system copies, and landscape synchronization. • Support SAP high availability, disaster recovery, backup validation, and business continuity initiatives. • Coordinate with SAP Functional, Security, Infrastructure, Database, Cloud, and Vendor teams. • Drive operational improvements, automation, monitoring enhancements, and platform standardization. • Review SAP capacity,



system health, performance trends, and operational risks. • Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks. • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and escalation support to L1/L2 Basis teams. • Participate in on-call and critical production support activities.

Skill Requirements

Strong hands-on expertise in SAP Basis Administration. • Extensive experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Fiori, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP NetWeaver. • Experience with SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, and Unicode/HANA migrations. • Strong knowledge of SAP transport management, client administration, and landscape management. • Experience with SAP performance tuning, monitoring, workload analysis, and system optimization. • Knowledge of SAP HANA and database administration concepts. • Experience with SAP high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery strategies. • Familiarity with SAP Security, authorization concepts, and compliance requirements. • Experience with automation, scripting, and operational process optimization. • Solid knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management. • Excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and documentation skills.
