ACCOUNTS & FINANCE MANAGER

Job Location: Madurai, Tamil Nadu

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger, cash book, bank book, and petty cash records.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

2. GST & Tax Compliance

- Prepare and maintain GST-related records and documentation.
- Assist in filing GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns.
- Reconcile purchase records with GSTR-2B and verify Input Tax Credit (ITC) eligibility.
- Coordinate with consultants for Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
- Maintain proper documentation for tax and statutory audits.

3. Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting

- Maintain raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory records.
- Reconcile physical stock with book stock in coordination with stores and production teams.
- Track material purchases, consumption, production costs, and stock movements.
- Assist in product costing, manufacturing overhead calculations, and cost variance analysis.
- Monitor wastage, scrap, and inventory adjustments.
- Support monthly stock valuation and inventory reporting.

4. Vendor & Customer Management





- Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
- Process vendor payments and maintain supplier ledgers.
- Prepare customer invoices and monitor outstanding receivables.
- Follow up on overdue payments and resolve account discrepancies.

5. Financial Reporting, MIS & Audit

- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Prepare Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Statements, and other financial reports.
- Prepare and present MIS reports for management review.
- Analyze budgets, costing, expenses, and cash flow.
- Monitor expenses against budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support cash flow planning and financial forecasting.
- Maintain documentation for internal, statutory, and tax audits.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG company is preferred.
- Positive working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in Tally Prime, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing cost concepts.
- Knowledge of inventory valuation, cost accounting, and production-related expenses.
- Ability to independently manage overall accounts and finance operations.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
