Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Tekla Steel Checker with strong knowledge of structural steel detailing, Tekla Structures, and AISC standards. The candidate will be responsible for checking 3D steel models and fabrication drawings to ensure accuracy, constructability, compliance with project specifications, and adherence to US steel detailing practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and check Tekla Structures 3D models for structural steel projects.
- Check General Arrangement (GA), erection, assembly, and shop/fabrication drawings.
- Verify dimensions, elevations, member sizes, orientations, and connection details.
- Check bolts, welds, plates, stiffeners, bracing, and other structural steel components.
- Ensure compliance with AISC standards, project specifications, and applicable detailing requirements.
- Verify drawing consistency with design and structural engineering drawings.
- Identify modeling errors, detailing discrepancies, clashes, and missing information.
- Check material lists, bolt lists, and fabrication-related reports.
- Review connection detailing and ensure consistency with approved design information.
- Provide corrections and technical feedback to Steel Modelers and Detailers.




- Coordinate with Team Leads, Engineers, and Project Managers to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure drawing quality and timely completion of checking activities.
- Support quality control and maintain project-specific checking procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in structural steel detailing and checking.
- Solid hands-on knowledge of Tekla Structures.
- Good understanding of AISC standards and US steel detailing practices.
- Experience checking structural steel fabrication, assembly, and erection drawings.
- Knowledge of steel connections, bolts, welds, plates, beams, columns, and bracing.
- Ability to interpret structural design drawings and project specifications.
- Knowledge of fabrication and erection requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate with modelers and detailing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on US-based structural steel projects.
- Knowledge of applicable AWS welding requirements and project-specific standards.
- Experience with industrial, commercial, and multi-storey steel structures.
- Experience handling complex steel detailing projects.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
