Your opportunity At Nexus Grid we provide MV grid operators with real-time insights into their grids to allow them to get the most out of them. We combine electrical power grid expertise with monitoring and analytics to support reliable service, targeted renewal and better use of existing capacity, contributing to the energy transition. As Senior Technical Consultant, you will help customers turn real signals from real networks into practical decisions using Nexus Grid’s monitoring system, a real-time, multifunctional monitoring system for distribution power cable networks. Network design influences its high-frequency measurements. You will interpret results in the context of each customer’s network and organisation, explain what they mean, work with the customer to maximize the value and bring customer experience back into product improvement and R&D.; Three value propositions Grid Reliability Partial-discharge (PD) monitoring identifies developing insulation defects to support predictive maintenance. Travelling-wave fault location helps operators locate faults and restore service. Grid Renewal Condition data and health trends help operators prioritise cable replacement and justify extending the life of healthy assets, rather than relying on age-based replacement alone. Grid Optimization Real-time thermal ratings help assess available cable capacity within operating limits. The additional capacity available depends on the circuit and conditions, informing decisions about how existing infrastructure can be used. What you will do Advise customers on getting the most from Nexus Grid’s monitoring technology in their networks. Translate measurement results into explicit, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Work with customers to investigate and analyze monitoring performance in their networks and identify opportunities for improvement. Travel to customers worldwide for face-to-face meetings and on-site inspections.



Collaborate with the Nexus Grid’s Engineering and Insights teams on analytics and product improvement, using customer experience to improve existing features and develop new ones. What you bring You enjoy solving real-world power-system problems and making complex findings understandable. You combine solid advisory and communication skills with engineering expertise and a commitment to supporting Nexus Grid’s customers worldwide. Qualifications and experience A PhD in electrical engineering, sustainable energy technology or physics from one of the IITs is required. 10+ years’ experience in electrical power systems. Experience performing measurements. Experience in diagnostics, high-frequency measurements and/or PD measurements is an advantage, not a requirement. Strong spoken and written English, and willingness to travel regularly, nationally and internationally. How you work Combine deep theoretical understanding with a pragmatic, practical approach.
