The company’s key solutions include CompostHut, a commercial composting system for organic waste; VertiGRO, an urban gardening solution that enables growing organic vegetables in compact spaces; and AquaBin, a grey water recycling system for homes and commercial spaces using biomimicry with plants and bacteria. BhuYantra focuses on practical, environment-friendly technologies that help communities manage waste and resources more efficiently. The team collaborates closely with clients to develop scalable solutions tailored to real-world usage and sustainability goals. Role Description The Industrial Design Intern with PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) will support the design and development of waste management and urban sustainability products in a full-time, on-site role located in Bangalore Urban district. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in concept generation for new and existing products, creating sketches and digital models, and contributing to product design iterations. The intern will participate in design thinking workshops, user research, and ergonomics studies to refine product usability and aesthetics. The role also involves hands-on prototyping, testing functional concepts, documenting design changes,



and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with manufacturing constraints. The intern will work under guidance from senior designers and may contribute to presentations, product demos, and design documentation that support future product launches. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Industrial Design and Product Design, with an ability to translate user needs into practical and aesthetic solutions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Concept Generation and Design Thinking to develop cutting-edge ideas and approach problems from a user-centered perspective.
• Candidates should possess Prototyping skills, including building mock-ups, models, and test rigs for physical validation of design concepts.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) and basic engineering drawing practices is beneficial.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering with design focus, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work on-site in Bangalore Urban district, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Interest in sustainability, waste management, and eco-friendly product solutions is strongly preferred.
• Good communication skills, openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn from hands-on field and workshop activities.
