Role Description This is a full time, on-site Solidworks Designer role based in Bhavnagar. The Solidworks Designer will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models and detailed engineering drawings of shipping containers and related components using Solidworks. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with engineering and production teams to translate design requirements into manufacturable solutions, updating designs based on feedback, and ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and industry standards. The role involves preparing BOMs, technical documentation, and design reports,



as well as supporting prototype development and resolving design-related issues during manufacturing. The designer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing designs for cost, durability, and ease of production. Qualifications
• Proficiency in Solidworks and 3D CAD modeling, including part, assembly, and drawing creation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication processes, and material selection for metal structures.
• Ability to read and create detailed engineering drawings, including tolerances, welding symbols, and GD&T.;
• Experience with design documentation, BOM preparation, and revision control in an engineering environment.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing workflows, especially sheet metal work, structural steel, and container fabrication.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to solve practical design and production challenges.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams on-site.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; prior experience as a Solidworks or mechanical design engineer in manufacturing is an advantage.
• Familiarity with industry standards related to shipping containers and structural safety is beneficial.
