Job Description: Fashion Assistant Designer
Job Title: Fashion Assistant Designer Department: Fashion Design / Creative Department Employment Type: Full-Time
1. Job Roles & Responsibilities

1. Assist the senior fashion designer in developing current collections and design concepts.
2. Research current fashion trends, fabrics, colours, prints, and styles.
3. Create mood boards, concept boards, and design presentations.
4. Prepare fashion illustrations, sketches, and technical drawings.
5. Assist in selecting fabrics, trims, colours, and accessories.
6. Coordinate with sampling, production, and merchandising teams.
7. Help develop garment samples and monitor sample progress.
8. Maintain design files, fabric swatches, and collection records.
9. Assist in creating seasonal collections and product ranges.
10. Ensure designs meet the brand's aesthetic and quality standards.

2. Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of fashion design and garment construction.
- Knowledge of fabrics, textiles, prints, and embroidery.
- Creativity and strong fashion sense.




- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Basic knowledge of CorelDRAW is an advantage.
- Understanding of colour combinations and fashion trends.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and time management.

3. Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with photoshoot styling and outfit coordination.
- Create digital fashion presentations.
- Help with catalogue and lookbook development.
- Coordinate with vendors and fabric suppliers.
- Assist in fittings and garment alterations.
- Support the team during fashion shoots and collection launches.

4. Performance Expectations
- Deliver creative design concepts on time.
- Maintain accurate design documentation.
- Support the development of new collections.
- Follow brand guidelines and design requirements.
- Ensure smooth coordination between design and production teams.
