Research Mentor – Economics & Finance Theoria Research Academy | An Initiative of UniVisory Global Education

India (Remote) Engagement: Part-Time / Project-Based About the Opportunity Theoria Research Academy is seeking accomplished Research Mentors holding a PhD in Economics, Finance or related disciplines, including Behavioural Economics, Development Economics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, International Economics and Public Policy. We particularly welcome researchers from leading Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) with Economics, Finance or related research programs, as well as other reputed Indian and international research institutions. Theoria works with academically ambitious high school students, helping them undertake original, rigorous research under the guidance of experienced academics. Our focus is on developing independent research capabilities and producing high-quality scholarly work suitable for submission to reputable academic journals and conferences.

Key Responsibilities
• Mentor high school students in conducting, writing and preparing original, high-quality research papers.
• Guide students through the research process, including topic selection, literature review, research methodology, data collection, analysis and manuscript preparation.
• Help students identify meaningful research gaps and formulate original, well-defined research questions.
• Conduct regular mentoring sessions, provide constructive academic feedback and ensure timely progress against agreed research milestones.
• Identify suitable,



reputable peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences for research submission.
• Guide students through manuscript submission, peer-review feedback and revisions, where applicable.
• Maintain high standards of academic integrity, originality and student ownership throughout the research process. Qualifications
• PhD in Economics, Finance or a closely related discipline, preferably from a leading academic or research institution.
• Actively engaged in academic research, preferably with publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals or conferences.
• Experience in teaching, research supervision or mentoring academically talented students.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies, academic writing and scholarly publication processes.
• Ability to make advanced research concepts accessible to motivated high school students.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to academic quality, responsiveness and agreed research timelines. Engagement Details
