Role Description This full-time, on-site Gynecologist role is based in Chennai and involves providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care in gynecology and obstetrics. The gynecologist will conduct routine examinations, manage antenatal and postnatal care, diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions, and perform or assist in gynecologic surgeries as indicated. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing evidence-based treatment plans, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The role also includes counseling patients on reproductive health, contraception, prenatal care, and preventive screenings, while maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to clinical protocols and ethical standards. The gynecologist will actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ensure a patient-centered, respectful care workplace.





Qualifications

- Strong foundation in clinical Medicine, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment.
- Advanced expertise in Gynecology, with proficiency in managing a broad spectrum of gynecologic conditions and preventive care.
- Clinical competence in Obstetrics, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, and management of high-risk pregnancies.
- Skill and experience in Gynecologic Surgery and related Surgery, including common procedures and operative decision-making.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration and licenses as per Indian regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, including sensitive discussions about reproductive and sexual health.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and adherence to clinical guidelines and safety standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to technology-enabled healthcare platforms.
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinic setting in Chennai or wider India is preferred; familiarity with local languages is an added advantage.
