The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing basic financial reports. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling cash and bank statements, and supporting inventory valuation and cost tracking related to cement and building materials. The role also involves generating and reviewing invoices, monitoring outstanding payments, assisting with tax-related documentation, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards.



The Accountant will collaborate with store management to provide accurate financial insights and support decision-making. Qualifications
• Strong skills in bookkeeping and general accounting, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel), and ability to work with digital and paper-based records.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes, invoicing, billing, and cash handling.
• Understanding of basic taxation, compliance, and financial reporting principles relevant to retail or trading businesses.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with store management, suppliers, and customers when needed.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Nakur, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a busy retail environment.
• Preferred: Prior experience as an Accountant or Accounts Assistant in retail, trading, or construction-related businesses.
• Preferred: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
