Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a User Experience Researcher at Outcome School. The User Experience Researcher will plan and conduct user research studies with learners, mentors, and employers to understand needs, behaviors, and pain points across digital and program experiences. In this role, the researcher will design and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as interviews, usability tests, surveys, and concept evaluations, and synthesize findings into clear insights and recommendations. The position includes collaborating closely with product, design, curriculum, and operations teams to inform experience design,



validate assumptions, and improve learner outcomes. The researcher will also create research artifacts (personas, journey maps, reports), maintain research documentation, and help establish best practices for evidence-based, learner-centered decision making. Qualifications
• Robust UX Research and User Research skills, including planning, executing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative studies.
• Knowledge of Human Computer Interaction principles and user-centered design methods.
• Experience applying Design Thinking to define problems, explore solutions, and iterate on user experiences.
• Robust Analytical Skills to synthesize data, identify patterns, and communicate insights to cross-functional partners.
• Experience working with digital products or learning platforms, ideally in education, workforce development, or social impact contexts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, engineers, and educators in a remote, distributed environment.
• Comfort presenting findings to diverse stakeholders and advocating for user needs in decision-making processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and improving outcomes for underserved communities.
