Role Description The Research Intern will support ongoing AI and language technology projects through data collection, dataset curation, and documentation. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in preparing and annotating text and speech data, conducting literature reviews on relevant AI and language processing topics, and helping test and evaluate models for text generation, speech recognition, and translation. The intern will collaborate with the research team to organize project findings, prepare reports or internal presentations,



and contribute to process improvements in data workflows. This is an internship role that is on-site and located in the Greater Srinagar Area. Qualifications
• Ability to conduct structured research, including literature reviews, data gathering, and basic analysis.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with team members.
• Interest in AI, machine learning, or natural language processing, with basic familiarity with these concepts being an advantage.
• Comfort working with text and audio data, including organizing datasets and following annotation guidelines.
• Proficiency in English and at least one regional language (e.g., Kashmiri, Urdu) is highly beneficial.
• Attention to detail, reliability in following procedures, and ability to learn new tools and methods quickly.
• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in computer science, linguistics, data science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Srinagar Area and collaborate effectively in a diverse, inclusive team environment.
