Role Summary We're looking for a Finance Controller / Head of Finance to own Walbha's financial operations end to end from monthly MIS and statutory compliance to collections, tender and subsidy-linked finance, and cost control across our manufacturing and trading verticals. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build a finance function from the ground up at a rapid-growing manufacturing company, not just maintain one.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & MIS
- Own monthly and annual financial MIS, budgeting, and variance analysis across manufacturing, trading, and corporate functions
- Maintain and evolve Walbha's financial models, including the FY P&L; and full-year projections, flagging variances such as revenue realization shortfalls or expense overruns early
- Prepare investor-ready financial reporting and support fundraising and due diligence processes Compliance & Statutory
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory filings; manage ROC compliance and liaise with auditors, CAs, and company secretaries
- Stay current on MSME Act, labour law, and other regulatory obligations relevant to a manufacturing business Treasury, Collections & Working Capital
- Manage cash flow,



working capital, and banking relationships
- Own receivables and drive collections, including structured follow-up and MSME Act invocation where needed for overdue B2B accounts
- Oversee vendor and transporter payments, PO/invoice reconciliation, and payment terms negotiation Tender & Subsidy Finance
- Support financial structuring and compliance for tenders (e.g. NTPC) and subsidy schemes (MNRE, UPNEDA, and Bundelkhand-specific incentives)
- Work with the business development team on tender bid financials and pricing Manufacturing & Trading Cost Control
- Build and maintain unit economics and cost accounting for briquette and pellet manufacturing
- Own margin tracking and trade settlement accuracy for Walbha's trading vertical, including multi-party trade structures
- Conduct periodic expense audits (e.g. field team travel, procurement) to flag anomalies and control leakage Systems & Team
- Select and implement accounting/ERP systems appropriate for a scaling manufacturing and trading business
- Build and manage the accounts/finance team as headcount grows
