We are seeking an experienced Senior Akamai L3 Support Engineer with strong expertise in CDN, Web Security, and Akamai technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced Level 3 technical support, troubleshooting complex incidents, managing Akamai configurations, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of web applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 3 technical support for complex Akamai-related incidents, service requests, problems, and changes.
- Troubleshoot CDN performance, caching, origin connectivity, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security-related issues.
- Manage and support Akamai services, including Property Manager, Edge DNS, WAF, App & API Protector, and Bot Manager.
- Perform configuration reviews, security policy updates, and technical assessments to ensure optimal service performance.
- Lead major incident resolution, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and optimize CDN performance, traffic routing, caching policies, and web security configurations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to L1/L2 support teams.
- Collaborate with Akamai Support, infrastructure, network, and application teams to resolve complex technical issues.




- Ensure effective incident, problem, and change management in accordance with ITIL processes. Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in CDN, Web Security, or Akamai operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Akamai CDN and Property Manager .
- Experience in Akamai Edge DNS, WAF, App & API Protector, and Bot Manager.
- Strong understanding of SSL/TLS certificate management and web security concepts.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting caching, traffic routing, origin connectivity, DNS, and security-related issues.
- Experience handling L3 escalations, major incidents, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and change management.
- Knowledge of APIs, scripting, and automation is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant Akamai certifications will be an added advantage. Preferred Qualifications
- Akamai Professional or Specialist certifications.
- ITIL certification or experience working in ITIL-based support environments.
