Role & responsibilities 1. Responsible to ensure safe evacuation of all the employees of the department and report the numbers during emergency. 2. Ensures adherence of basic safety requirements of various work permits by team members and seeks approval prior to work. 3. Trains the team to recognize & identify potential hazards during critical maintenance work and ensures 100% adherence on shop floor. 4. Ensures compliance of LOTO and availability of adequate resources for the team by performing regular checks and site visits 5. Lead closer of all the safety observations & NVO observations, conduct the safety observations rounds and ensure to complete the observations 6. Ensure 100% adherence for JSA prior to Work 7. Designs activities for utility generation to ensure cost of Utility generation is at par with bench marks, monitors and ensures continuous availability of Utility services to Production Plants as per specifications 8. Ensures efficient energy consumption for production of Utility services & maintains records of the same 9. Organizes and trains the team to work as per requirement 10. Plans manpower efficiently to optimize utilization skills and knowledge. 11. Designs the best practices to maintain valuable housekeeping & conducts Training for subordinates for safe, optimum & quality production output 12. To follow safety norms and adhere with company policy. 13. To follow the Quality Policy & Contamination prevention policy of the company 14. Identifies ways to reduce BM, promotes predictive maintenance approaches, keeps track of equipments health and prepares annual breakdown trend 15. Ensures reduction of breakdown rate by utilizing preventive maintenance approach and completion of PM activities in compliance with annual schedule 16. Improvises maintenance activities by introducing new technologies and improved tools. 17. Plans condition monitoring, reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
and ensures renewal of contract agreements. 18. Ensures availability of spares & critical parts 19. Identifies new vendors and follow up with SCM for spares procurement 20. Leads the project work and performs modifications as per the requirement and ensures timely completion of same. 21. Approval of bills related to Fabrication, insulation related works 22. Identifies new vendors and coordinates with SCM for timely delivery of inventory and materials. 23. Facilitate & Reviews daily meetings, implements Kaizen and 5S in work area. 24. Participates in CFT projects and draws insights to improve business results. 25. Review the identified root cause of a problem and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (Why-why, Kaizens) & Tracking the effectiveness. 26. Understand and Executes continuous improvement by implementing DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement and Control) method in solving the problems 27. Adheres to requirements as per written procedures. 28. Plains resources while taking calculated risks to provide 24*7 engineering support & services needed for manufacturing 29. Solves engineering issues faster with minimum disruption of production time using science, technology, analytics and/or digital tools 30. Creates processes & systems that yields repeated success with minimum room for errors 31. Demonstrates complete ownership of end-result of installation/ maintenance/ repair/ calibration, etc. of manufacturing systems Authorities 32. Approve the documentation of Utility department. 33. Recommend the material requisition from warehouse. 34. Stop any unsafe work practices. 35. Propose actions or improvement plans in view of increased Conservation of energy, resources and minimization of hazard and increased quality of product. Accountabilities 36. For Wastage and misuse of equipment, materials and tools. For not providing the highest level of safety during all stages of maintenance activities, execution, to avoid any type of incidents or accidents.
