Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India Reporting To: Group FC (Hong Kong HQ) & Board of Directors. About the Group We are a mid-sized real estate development group headquartered in Hong Kong, managing active residential and commercial projects across South India (Chennai region). We are seeking an experienced, integrity-driven Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial strategy, governance, project accounting, and feasibility evaluations for our Chennai operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, project accounting, and cash flow management across all Chennai developments.
• Accounting & Revenue Recognition: Oversee real estate accounting operations under applicable accounting standards, including Percentage of Completion Method (POCM) and Joint Development Agreement (JDA) frameworks.
• Statutory Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict compliance with TNRERA, Income Tax regulations, GST, local corporate laws, and corporate governance standards.
• Banking & Project Finance: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, oversee construction financing drawdowns and monitor project escrow accounts.
• HQ Reporting & MIS: Prepare &present; robust monthly/quarterly financial MIS, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses for the Hong Kong Head Office.




• Cross-Border Compliance (FEMA/RBI): Ensuring adherence to RBI and FEMA guidelines concerning NRI shareholders and foreign investments.
• Audit &Vendor; Controls: Oversee internal and statutory audits, contractor billing verifications, tax audits, and vendor payment cycles.
• ERP & Systems: Drive management of financial software/ERP systems (e.g., Tally &BSF;) and maintain advanced financial modeling frameworks.
• Project Feasibility &Financial; Modeling: Lead new project evaluations, build comprehensive financial models (IRR, NPV, sensitivity analysis), and prepare feasibility studies for upcoming land acquisitions and real estate developments. Key Requirements &Qualifications;
• Education: Preferred Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent therein.
• Experience: o Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE). o Minimum 3+ years of direct financial leadership in the Real Estate / Property Development sector.
• Core Skills: Proven expertise in new project evaluation, real estate financial modeling, and feasibility analysis.
• Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of TNRERA, JDA taxation, construction accounting, and FEMA/RBI guidelines.
• Integrity & References: Proven professional track record and solid references.
