Hegganahalli Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented VMC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CNC/VMC programming, machining operations, tool selection, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for VMC machines.
- Prepare programs using G-code and M-code based on engineering drawings and machining requirements.
- Set up and operate VMC machines for precision component manufacturing.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T.;
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Perform tool setting, workpiece setting, and machine offsets.
- Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and ensure components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
- Troubleshoot programming, machining, and tool-related issues.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain machine records, program documentation, and production reports.




- Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S standards on the shop floor. Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in VMC programming and machining.
- Good knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC machining principles.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool paths, speeds, feeds, and machining cycles.
- Familiarity with work offsets, tool offsets, and fixture setting.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection procedures.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines. Preferred Skills
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or other CNC control systems.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, or similar tools.
- Experience machining metal components to tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of production planning, cycle-time optimization, and quality control. Educational Qualification and Experience
- ITI, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in VMC programming and machining.
- Candidates with practical experience in CNC programming, machine setup, and precision manufacturing will be preferred. Candidate Profile

- Quality-conscious and production-oriented.
- Willing to work in a manufacturing or shop-floor environment.
