Role & responsibilities
- Perform blood grouping (ABO and Rh typing).
- Conduct cross-matching and compatibility testing.
- Perform screening tests for Transfusion Transmitted Infections (TTIs).
- Collect, process, and prepare blood components.
- Ensure proper storage and monitoring of blood and blood components.
- Maintain accurate records of blood collection, testing, and issue.
- Follow biomedical waste management and infection control protocols.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure quality control.
- Assist in blood transfusion-related activities.
- Follow applicable NACO, NMC and blood bank regulatory guidelines. Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma / Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT).
- Relevant Blood Bank Technician training or experience preferred.
- Diploma / Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT).
- Relevant Blood Bank Technician training or experience preferred.
