Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using WSO2 API Manager (v4+ or later).
· Lead API lifecycle activities: design, prototype, publish, monitor, and retire APIs.
· Configure and manage WSO2 API Gateway, Publisher, and Developer Portal.
· Implement API security policies including OAuth2, JWT, throttling, and CORS.
· Automate API deployment using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab
· Monitor API performance using tools like AppDynamics & Splunk.
· Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across distributed environments.
· Work on API-first integration designs , building secure, scalable APIs using REST/SOAP standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
· Guide junior developers and lead technical knowledge transfer sessions.
· Optimize existing integrations for performance, maintainability, and error handling.
· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
· Interface with tools like ElasticSearch, Splunk for monitoring and logging integration behavior. Required Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT,



or related discipline.
· 8+ years of experience in integration and API Management.
· Robust hands-on experience (4+ years) with WSO2 API Manager and related components.
· Proficiency in RESTful API design.
· Familiarity with API documentation tools like Stoplight.
· Solid understanding of API security, traffic management, and analytics.
· Experience with Git, Jenkins, BitBucket, JFrog. Preferred Qualifications
· WSO2 certification (Developer or Integration Specialist) is a strong plus.
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
· Experience with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
· Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
· Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices.
· Familiarity with Agile development practices and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence). Soft Skills
