POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, and internal financial controls. The role requires strong technical expertise in accounting principles, taxation, financial analysis, and inventory management, preferably within the jewellery manufacturing industry. The incumbent will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of financial information while supporting management in strategic financial decision-making and operational cost control. 2. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES A. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts.
- Review and validate journal entries, general ledgers, vouchers, and financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely closure of monthly accounts and maintenance of financial records.
- Monitor cash flow, fund utilization, and working capital requirements. B. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Supervise TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return filings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Income Tax, GST, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and statutory authorities.
- Manage GST reconciliations, input tax credit verification, and related documentation.
- Support statutory, internal, and tax audit processes. C. Financial Analysis & MIS




- Prepare periodic MIS reports, financial statements, and management dashboards.
- Analyse revenue, operating expenses, profitability, and cost variances.
- Prepare budget versus actual expenditure reports.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and ageing analysis.
- Provide accurate financial information and analytical reports to management.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improvement in financial efficiency. D. Internal Controls & Process Management
- Establish and monitor effective accounting procedures and internal financial controls.
- Ensure proper authorization and documentation of financial transactions.
- Identify financial discrepancies, control weaknesses, and operational risks.
- Review accounting processes to improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial information. E. Team Coordination & Supervision
- Supervise, guide, and review the work of junior accountants and accounts executives.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor the timely completion of accounting activities.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Sales, Production, Stores, HR, and other departments.
- Ensure smooth communication and coordination across departments. 3. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce (B.
Com / M.
Com) or MBA in Finance.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Prior experience in jewellery manufacturing, jewellery trading,



or a manufacturing organization will be highly preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting. 4. TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Advanced working knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP accounting software.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
- Sound understanding of accounting standards and taxation regulations.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and inventory accounting procedures.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication, coordination, and team management skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, accountability, and professional ethics. 5. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
- Accuracy and timely closure of monthly financial accounts.
- Timely completion of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
- Accuracy of bank, ledger, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
- Timely submission and accuracy of MIS reports.
- Effective monitoring of inventory and metal reconciliation.
- Control over manufacturing costs, wastage, and financial discrepancies.
- Adherence to internal financial controls and accounting policies.
- Timely completion of audit requirements. 6. ROLE EXPECTATIONS The Senior Accountant is expected to demonstrate strong ownership of accounting and financial operations, maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance, proactively identify financial risks, and provide reliable financial insights to management. The position requires a result-oriented professional capable of independently managing responsibilities while ensuring effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Pay: ₹30,000.00
