MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
- NPD Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for recent product development process prove-out and works collaboratively with NPD team members to release process documentation. Roles & Responsibilities
- Preparing APQP documents and PFMEA during new product release.
- Maintain a centralized repository of all process documents and ensure updates are made as processes evolve.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure processes are followed and deliver consistent results.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on process optimization.
- Release related documentation through PLM. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of Process Design & Development experience.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of PPAP documentation.
- Adequate process knowledge in areas such as:
- Machining
- Assembly
- Press Shop
- Welding PFMEA Experience & Successful Project Exposure :
- Hands-on experience in preparing, updating, and reviewing Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for new product development, pilot builds, process changes, and existing process improvements.
- Lead cross-functional PFMEA workshops with Design, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Purchase,



and Supplier teams to identify potential process failure modes and define preventive controls.
- Evaluate Severity, Occurrence, and Detection rankings; prioritize high-risk failure modes; define recommended actions and verify effectiveness after implementation.
- Ensure strong linkage between Process Flow Diagram (PFD), PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions, Inspection Standards, and PPAP/APQP documentation.
- Update PFMEA based on customer complaints, field failures, internal rejection trends, audit observations, engineering change requests, and process validation results.
- Drive PFMEA-based improvements such as:
- Poka-Yoke implementation
- Fixture improvements
- Process parameter controls
- In-process inspection points
- Tool-life monitoring
- Mistake-proofing systems
- Support risk reduction through corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methods such as:
- 8D
- Fishbone Analysis
- 5 Why Analysis
- Kaizen
- Knowledge of AIAG & VDA PFMEA methodology including:
- Structure Analysis
- Function Analysis
- Failure Analysis
- Risk Analysis
- Optimization
- Documentation of Action Priority
