Position: General Manager – Manufacturing Operations

Experience: 12–18 Years

Qualification: BE / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering)

Job Location: Vellanaipatti, Coimbatore

Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹75,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience and capability)

Reporting To: Managing Director

About RLI Energiz

RLI Energiz Private Limited is a growing electrical and engineering manufacturing company based in Coimbatore, engaged in manufacturing electrical switchgear, street light poles and associated electrical infrastructure products.

As part of our business expansion, we are strengthening our manufacturing capabilities in Electrical Panel Boards, Container Kiosks and AB Switches / Isolators.

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager to independently manage our overall manufacturing operations and drive the company's next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Overall Factory Operations

- Take complete responsibility for day-to-day factory operations.
- Manage and coordinate all departments to achieve organisational objectives.
- Establish systems, processes and operational discipline.
- Ensure smooth coordination between production, engineering, purchase, quality and sales.

2. Production & Manufacturing

- Plan, organise and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production.
- Ensure achievement of production targets and delivery commitments.
- Improve productivity, machine utilisation and manpower efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Control production costs, wastage and rework.

3. Quality Management





- Ensure quality standards are maintained across all product divisions.
- Coordinate with the quality department for inspections and testing.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure customer specifications and applicable technical standards are followed.

4. Purchase & Inventory Management

- Monitor raw material requirements and procurement planning.
- Control inventory, material wastage and unnecessary stock accumulation.
- Develop and evaluate reliable vendors.
- Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.

5. Manpower & Team Management

- Lead and manage production supervisors, engineers, technicians and operators.
- Recruit, train and develop departmental teams in coordination with HR.
- Establish employee accountability and performance evaluation systems.
- Build a disciplined, productive and professional working environment.

6. Delivery & Customer Coordination

- Ensure timely completion and dispatch of customer orders.
- Coordinate with sales and engineering teams to resolve operational issues.
- Handle major production-related customer escalations.

7. Financial & Operational Control

- Monitor manufacturing costs and operational expenses.
- Improve product-wise manufacturing efficiency and profitability.
- Review departmental performance and implement improvement measures.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly MIS reports to the Managing Director.

Candidate Profile





- 12–18 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Robust experience in electrical equipment, switchgear, electrical panels, fabrication or engineering manufacturing.
- Experience in independently managing a manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, procurement and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to establish systems and scale manufacturing operations.
- Strong communication and team-management skills.
- Experience in ERP / production management systems will be an added advantage.
