Role Description The General Manager – Projects will oversee end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality and safety standards. This full-time, on-site role is based in Ahmedabad and involves leading project teams, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to resolve issues and maintain smooth project progress. Daily responsibilities include monitoring project schedules, reviewing progress reports, managing risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

The role requires supervision of procurement and logistics activities, oversight of inspections and compliance with regulatory norms, and optimization of resources and processes to improve efficiency.

Manager – Projects is also expected to mentor team members, support strategic planning, and contribute to business development through strong client relationships and consistent project performance.

Qualifications

- Strong project management capabilities, including Project Management experience for construction or infrastructure projects and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in expediting functions, with skills as an Expeditor and in Expediting to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation.
- Knowledge of inspection processes and quality assurance, including Inspection coordination and implementation of quality and safety standards on-site.
- Competence in Logistics Management, with the ability to plan and control material movement, storage, and resource allocation for project sites.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, with substantial experience (typically 10+ years) in project leadership roles in construction.
- Robust leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and handle complex project challenges.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools, contractual documentation, and regulatory compliance relevant to construction projects.
- Demonstrated record of delivering projects with high quality, safety, and client satisfaction, and readiness to work on-site in Ahmedabad on a full time basis.
