Role Description The Head of Production Planning and Control is a full-time, in office role based at Shingora’s manufacturing facility in Ludhiana. This role oversees end-to-end production planning, capacity allocation, and scheduling to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality textile products.

Responsibilities include monitoring production performance, coordinating with weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing departments, and aligning operations with sales forecasts and inventory requirements. The role manages resource utilization, controls production budgets, and implements process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.



The Head of Production Planning and Control also leads and mentors the production planning team, ensures compliance with quality and safety standards, and collaborates closely with senior leadership on strategic operations decisions.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management to design, implement, and monitor effective production schedules and workflows.
- Proficiency in Operations Management, including process optimization, capacity planning, and coordination across multiple production units.
- Proven Team Management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, delegate responsibilities, and develop talent.
- Competence in Budgeting and cost control, including managing production budgets, analyzing variances, and driving cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Relevant experience in textile or apparel manufacturing, preferably in woven or knit fabrics and fashion accessories.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) and production-related software for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with operations, design, sales, and leadership teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Textile Technology, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
