Role Description The UAV Engineer will design, develop, integrate, and test unmanned aerial vehicle platforms and subsystems for defense and enterprise applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include working on airframe design, propulsion and power systems, avionics integration, flight control algorithms, and payload configurations, while ensuring performance, safety, and reliability standards are met. The role involves collaborating closely with AI, embedded systems, and software teams to implement autonomy, mission planning, and communication capabilities, as well as conducting lab and field tests, flight evaluations, and iterative improvements based on test data.





The UAV Engineer will prepare technical documentation, participate in design reviews, support troubleshooting and maintenance, and contribute to continuous enhancement of UAV architectures and ground control interfaces. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in aerospace, mechanical, or electronics engineering, with experience in UAV design, integration, and testing.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and structural analysis for airframe and mechanical component design, including materials selection and lightweight structures.
- Experience with avionics systems, sensors, GPS/INS, communication modules, and integration of flight controllers and autopilots.
- Knowledge of control systems, flight dynamics, and implementation or tuning of flight control algorithms (e.g., PID, navigation, stability augmentation).
- Hands-on skills in embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware development for UAV subsystems and interfaces.
- Familiarity with ground control station software, telemetry links, mission planning tools, and real-time monitoring of UAV operations.
- Experience with testing and validation, including bench testing, field trials, flight safety protocols, and data-driven performance optimization.
- Capability to work with cross-functional teams in AI, robotics, and sensor fusion, and to translate mission requirements into technical specifications.
