About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Wood Procurement Executive / Manager to manage the end-to-end supply chain of raw materials for our premium wood pellet manufacturing facility.

Important Note: This is a highly specialized role. General purchase or retail procurement experience will not be considered. We require direct, proven experience in sourcing raw wood and biomass waste.

Key Responsibilities

- Vendor Sourcing: Identify, onboard, and manage commercial relationships with sawmills, furniture manufacturing clusters, timber markets, and wood aggregators. Willingness to travel 50-200+ km when required is essential.
- Material Procurement: Secure a consistent, high-volume daily supply of sawdust, wood scrap, wood chips, and industrial wood waste.
- Quality Control: Assess moisture levels, ash content, and species contamination of incoming raw materials to ensure they meet pellet manufacturing standards.
- Logistics & Pricing: Negotiate competitive per-ton rates, coordinate local transportation/freight, and maintain strict inventory levels to avoid plant downtime.

Mandatory Requirements

- Experience:



2–10 years of active ground experience in biomass sourcing, timber procurement, or wood waste supply chain management.
- Network: An existing, strong network of local sawmills and wood waste suppliers in Delhi-NCR, Western UP, or neighboring regions.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wood types, density variations, moisture impacts on biomass, and per-ton weight calculations.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively to local markets, mills, and supplier sites for material inspection and deal finalization.

Significant: This is a field-oriented position, not a desk-only procurement job. Willingness to travel, visit suppliers and handle on-ground requirements is essential.

COMPENSATION & LOCATION

Salary: As per experience and suitability.

Travel allowance/reimbursement for official travel will be provided separately.
