Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Pre-DCR Draftsman with knowledge of building plan approval drawings, AutoCAD, Pre-DCR software, and local building regulations. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate architectural drawings for submission to BBMP/GBA and other relevant planning authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare building plan approval drawings using AutoCAD and Pre-DCR software.
- Create Pre-DCR drawings with proper layers, polylines, and required drawing standards.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, and area statements.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable building bye-laws, zoning regulations, setbacks, FAR/FSI, and parking requirements.
- Prepare drawings for residential, commercial, and mixed-use building approvals.
- Identify and rectify Pre-DCR drawing errors and scrutiny objections.
- Revise drawings according to authority requirements and client feedback.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and liaison officers for building plan approvals.
- Assist with online building plan submission,
document preparation, and query compliance.
- Maintain proper records of approval drawings and revisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Draftsmanship or relevant qualification.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Pre-DCR software.
- Knowledge of BBMP/GBA building plan approval procedures.
- Understanding of Karnataka building bye-laws and applicable planning regulations.
- Experience preparing sanction drawings and approval documentation.
- Ability to independently prepare error-free Pre-DCR drawings.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Pre-DCR drafting and building plan approvals.
- Previous experience working with architects, planning consultants, or liaisoning firms.
- Familiarity with online building plan approval portals.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet submission deadlines
