Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage the full spectrum of accounting activities for Krishna’s Courtyard, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with relevant regulations. This full-time, on-site role in Cuttack includes overseeing general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly and annual closing processes. The individual will prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, analyze variances, and provide management with explicit financial insights to support decision-making.

The Senior

Accountant will also monitor internal controls, support audits, ensure adherence to tax and statutory requirements, and collaborate with operational and management teams on cost control and revenue tracking. Mentoring junior accounting staff and helping improve financial processes and systems are key parts of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Candidates should possess financial analysis and reporting skills,



such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and audit processes, including familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, along with solid data management and documentation practices.
- Candidates should possess organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a hospitality environment.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with management, operations teams, and external partners.
- Candidates should ideally have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in hospitality, hotels, or service-oriented businesses, and experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role, would be beneficial.
