Job Title: Visual & Dimensional Inspector

Role Summary: Responsible for inspecting manufactured parts, assemblies, and products to ensure they meet visual, dimensional, and quality requirements according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform visual inspections for defects such as scratches, dents, cracks, discoloration, and surface imperfections.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T; and inspection plans.
- Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.
- Segregate and report non-conforming products.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, customer, and internal quality standards.




- Verify first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Maintain calibration awareness of inspection equipment.

Job Specification (JS)

Education

- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.

Experience

- 1-3 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or precision engineering.
- Experience with machining, fabrication, casting, or automotive components is advantageous.

Technical Skills

- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T; concepts.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- Bore Gauge
- Understanding of quality control processes and inspection reports.

Soft Skills
