The role
You will design and run all creative and co-curricular programmes on campus. Your goal is to help science students discover drama, art, music, and public speaking, and to make these a valued part of residential life rather than an afterthought.
Key responsibilities
- Design the programme. Build a year-round co-curricular calendar covering performing arts, visual arts, public speaking, and creative thinking, fitted around the academic schedule.
- Run workshops. Conduct regular hands-on workshops in theatre, improv, storytelling, debate, art, and communication, including short formats that suit busy exam-focused students.
- Lead events and showcases. Organise inter-house competitions, annual productions, open mics, exhibitions, and festivals.
- Build confidence. Use performance and expression to help students with stage fear, articulation, and interview readiness.
- Drive engagement. Find creative ways to get reluctant students involved, especially ones who see these activities as time taken from studies.
- Use residential time. Plan evening and weekend programmes for boarders.
- Bring in outside talent. Invite visiting artists, trainers, and judges, and take students to external competitions and festivals.
- Communicate impact. Document events for parents and social media, and report participation and progress to leadership.
Qualifications
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in a creative field, such as theatre, performing arts, fine arts, design, or mass communication. Graduates or university performing arts departments are especially welcome.
- 2–5 years of experience in theatre, arts education, event production, or student programmes.
- Hands-on ability in at least one performing art, plus a wide creative range.
- Experience working with teenagers is strongly preferred.
- Fluent English. Assamese or Hindi is a plus.
Who you are
You're energetic and approachable, and you can get a room of shy teenagers on their feet. You're organised enough to run a calendar and creative enough to keep it fresh. You're comfortable with residential campus life, including some evening and weekend work.
Reports to: Executive Director
Compensation: salary + accommodation and meals on campus To apply: Send your CV, a portfolio or performance reel, and a short note on one workshop idea you would run with Class 11–12 science students to

Asking for a workshop idea in the application helps you screen for practical creativity, not just degrees. I can also turn this into an editable doc if you'd like.
