Design Manager

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead and manage the complete residential interior design phase for clients, from initial requirement understanding and concept development to final design approval and handover of approved designs will be responsible for leading a team of interior designers, ensuring design quality, timely deliverables, client satisfaction, and effective design operations.

Key Responsibilities

Take complete ownership of the end-to-end design phase for residential interior projects.

Understand client requirements, lifestyle preferences, functional needs, aesthetic expectations, and budget.

Lead client design discussions and presentations

Guide the design team in developing creative, functional, and budget-oriented interior design concepts.

Review and approve space planning, 2D layouts, 3D designs, furniture layouts, elevations, and detailed working drawings.

Ensure designs meet client expectations, technical requirements, and agreed project budgets.

Manage and mentor a team of Interior Designers.

Allocate projects among designers and monitor individual productivity and design turnaround time.

Ensure timely completion of design deliverables and client approvals as per committed timelines.

Handle client feedback, design revisions, changes, and escalations throughout the design process.

Guide the team in selecting appropriate materials, laminates, finishes,



colours, hardware, and furniture specifications.

Maintain proper documentation of client requirements, design revisions, approvals, and final drawings.

Establish design standards, review processes, and quality benchmarks within the design team.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent understanding of residential interior design and space planning.

Expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D visualisation, and technical drawings.

Strong knowledge of modular kitchens, wardrobes, furniture design, materials, finishes, and hardware.

Excellent client communication in English , presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to understand client expectations and translate them into practical design solutions.

Strong creative, technical, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple client projects and design teams simultaneously.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design, BArch

8–10 years of experience in residential interior design.

Proven experience in handling multiple residential interior design projects simultaneously.

Experience in client consultations, design presentations, design approvals, and team management.
