## My recommendation for Synergie Controls
I recommend keeping this position focused on Project Estimation rather than general sales estimation.
The engineer should be capable of independently estimating the following types of projects:
- PLC & Automation Control Panels.
- MCC & PCC Panels.
- VFD / Drive Panels.
- Siemens PLC and Drive System Integration.
- Control Desks and Operator Consoles.
- Industrial Automation Upgradation and Retrofit Projects.
- Complete Electrical and Automation Projects for Rolling Mills and Steel Plants.
Key: During recruitment, conduct a practical estimation test. Give the candidate one PLC panel enquiry with a technical specification and ask them to prepare:
- Complete BOM.
- Component selection.
- Material costing.
- Panel fabrication and assembly costing.
- Engineering and testing charges.
- Final selling price with gross profit calculation.
This will help you identify candidates who can actually handle estimation independently rather than candidates who only know how to prepare quotations.
