Role Description The Construction Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations related to construction projects, including recording and tracking project costs, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate ledgers.

Responsibilities include preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, monitoring contract billing, and supporting compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The role involves close coordination with project managers, site engineers, vendors, and senior management to ensure timely payments, cost control, and alignment with project schedules.

The Construction





Accountant will also assist in audits, variance analysis, and implementation of financial controls to support decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mathura.

Qualifications

- Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, cost accounting, and reconciliations specific to construction projects.
- Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, preferably in engineering or construction environments.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to work with spreadsheets, formulas, and financial data analysis tools.
- Understanding of contract billing, work orders, purchase orders, and vendor management processes in construction operations.
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit procedures applicable to construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at project sites and headquarters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an accountant in construction, engineering, or project-based industries is highly preferred.
