Role Description The Assistant Steward role is a full-time, in office position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. This role supports the smooth operation of the back-of-house by maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and service areas, handling dishwashing and equipment cleaning, and ensuring proper storage of tableware and kitchen utensils.

The Assistant

Steward assists with waste disposal and recycling processes, follows hygiene, safety,



and sanitation standards, and supports the culinary and service teams with basic preparation and setup tasks. The role also involves coordinating with supervisors to replenish supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and helping to create a safe, efficient, and well-organized working environment.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service and Food Service skills, with a commitment to supporting a high-quality guest experience.
- Effective Communication abilities and a willingness to follow instructions and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Basic knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and hygiene standards in a restaurant or hotel environment.
- Openness to Training and learning standard operating procedures, including safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to perform physically active duties, such as standing for extended periods, lifting, and carrying items safely.
- Prior experience in stewarding, kitchen assistance, or hospitality support roles is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
